Escapes Terms and Conditions

  1. Booking and Payment
A booking is confirmed once you have checked out and payment has been processed.

    2. Cancellation by You
Once your booking is confirmed, we immediately begin incurring costs in arranging your
trip, including accommodation, meals, transfers, bike hire and other services.
If you cancel your booking, the following cancellation charges apply:
    - More than 60 days before departure – Deposit retained
    - 45–60 days before departure – 50% of the total trip price
    - 45 days or fewer before departure – 100% of the total trip price
These charges reflect the costs we incur and the limited opportunity to resell your place
at short notice. Where we are able to recover costs from suppliers or resell your place, we
may, at our sole discretion, reduce the cancellation charge, although we are under no
    obligation to do so.
Failure to pay the balance by the due date, or failure to attend the trip, will be treated as a
cancellation by you, and the cancellation charges above will apply.
We strongly recommend that all participants take out comprehensive travel insurance that
includes cover for cancellation due to illness, injury or other unforeseen circumstances.

    3. Changes Requested by You
Any request to transfer your booking to another person or another departure date is
subject to availability and may incur administration or supplier charges.
We reserve the right to refuse transfers where this is not reasonably possible.

    4. Cancellation by Us
We reserve the right to cancel a trip due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control,
insufficient participant numbers or safety concerns.
If we cancel your trip (other than because of your breach of these Terms), you will be
    offered either:
    - a full refund of monies paid; or
    - an alternative trip where available.
Our liability is limited to the amount paid to us.

    5. Itinerary Changes
We may make reasonable changes to accommodation, routes, activities or timings where
necessary due to weather, road conditions, supplier availability, safety considerations or
    other operational reasons.
Such changes do not entitle participants to compensation or refunds.

    6. Fitness and Participation
Participants are responsible for ensuring they are physically capable of completing the
    rides.
You must disclose any medical conditions that may affect your participation.
We reserve the right to exclude anyone whose fitness or behaviour presents a risk to
themselves or others. No refund will be due in these circumstances.

    7. Equipment
Where bicycles or equipment are supplied, participants agree to use them responsibly
    and report any faults immediately.
You are responsible for damage caused through negligence or misuse.

    8. Personal Responsibility
Cycling involves inherent risks including falls, collisions and changing road conditions.
Participants ride at their own risk and must obey local traffic laws and instructions from
    guides at all times.

    9. Insurance
Participants are responsible for arranging suitable travel insurance, including cover for:
    - cancellation;
    - medical expenses;
    - cycling activities;
    - personal belongings; and
    - repatriation where applicable.

    10. Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by
our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Subject to the above, our liability is limited to the total amount paid for your booking.
We are not liable for losses arising from events beyond our reasonable control.

    11. Complaints
Any issues should be raised with the trip leader as soon as reasonably possible to allow
us the opportunity to resolve them.

    12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and any disputes shall be
subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
