Girona has earned its reputation as one of the world's best cycling destinations. But some of our favourite riding is found well beyond the city's famous café-lined streets.

Think quiet Catalan roads, endless climbs, medieval villages and spectacular mountain scenery. All explored from our beautiful countryside villa, tucked away from the crowds and close to some of the region's best riding.

Of course, no Girona Escape would be complete without visiting Girona itself! We'll spend a day cycling into the city, exploring its famous cycling cafés and soaking up the atmosphere that has made it such an iconic destination for riders from around the world.

Our home for the week is a beautifully renovated 17th-century masia in the heart of the Catalan countryside, just 30 minutes from Girona and with some incredible riding right on our doorstep.

More of a countryside home than a traditional hotel, the villa has ten ensuite bedrooms, a spacious pool, a bike workshop and even a garden studio for yoga.

It's the perfect place to come back to after a big day in the saddle. Whether that's relaxing by the pool, enjoying a slow afternoon or gathering around the table for dinner, there's plenty to love about life off the bike too.

One of the best parts of a Moloko Escape is coming together at the end of the day.

Our resident chef prepares delicious, seasonal meals inspired by Catalonia's food culture, with a focus on fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Relaxed, family-style dinners, good conversations and plenty of time to share stories from the day's riding... This is what we're all about!

And of course, we'll make time to discover the region's famous cafés, charming villages and local food along the way.

We've taken care of the planning, found a beautiful place to call home and put together a week of incredible riding. All you have to do is turn up and enjoy it.

• Difficulty: 3/5–4/5 — Expect hilly rides of 80–150km with 1,000–2,500m of climbing. This Escape is best suited to cyclists who are comfortable spending several hours in the saddle and enjoy a good challenge. Don't let the bigger numbers put you off! We typically ride in two groups to accommodate different paces, and there's no pressure to be the fastest up the climbs.
• Price: £1,490 per person (monthly payment options available)
• Room Options: Prices are per person based on shared accommodation. Couples booking together can select a double bed at no extra cost. Contact us for private room availability and pricing.
